House Rules
To rent Makaha Villa, our home, we require you to sign/accept a rental agreement and provide ID of the credit card holder. This is for your protection as much as ours. The agreement spells out all the details of renting, from checking-in to checking out.
Payment Policy
A deposit of 20% is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. Reservations not paid in full by the due date may be subject to cancellation and applicable cancellation terms.
Damage Deposit Policy
As a security deposit alternative, Houfy Protect, an upfront nonrefundable low cost property damage protection policy for just $5 per night, is taken at time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund (minus any processing fees). Cancellations made 31–60 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund, and those made 15–30 days prior will receive a 25% refund. Reservations canceled within 14 days of arrival, as well as bookings made within 14 days of arrival, are non-refundable. Guests are encouraged to request a date change at least 14 days prior to arrival (subject to availability and rate adjustments). In the event of hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, or other weather-related events, these cancellation terms will apply unless a mandatory evacuation is issued; in such cases, refunds will be prorated or the stay may be rescheduled to a future available date within the same seasonal period. Travel insurance is strongly recommended, and it is the guest’s responsibility to secure appropriate coverage. In all cases, refunds or credits may be considered at the host’s discretion.
